About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our maintenance team at our manufacturing site in Port Talbot. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing equipment vital to our production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose mechanical issues, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency.
  • Pneumatics & Hydraulics: Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, belts, and pumps.
  • Welding & Fabrication: Competent in welding (MIG, TIG, or ARC) and metal fabrication.
  • Fault-Finding & Troubleshooting: Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience working in an FMCG, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, belts, and pumps.
  • Competent in welding (MIG, TIG, or ARC) and metal fabrication.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
