About the Role

As a Clinical Care Specialist at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and as part of a team in delivering high-quality patient care. Reporting directly to the Community Nursing Team Lead, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a diverse group of patients with a wide range of conditions and health needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working without direct supervision in a healthcare environment and be able to ensure the delivery of 'Compassion in Practice' - Nursing, Midwifery and Care Staff Vision and Strategy, incorporating the 6C's. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are also essential requirements for this role.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately £32,000 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and planning patient care to meet their individual needs
  • Delivering skilled nursing care, including aspects of assessment, wound management, palliative care, and catheterisation
  • Working autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • State Registration on Part 1 of the 3-part NMC register
  • Additional clinical qualifications or equivalent derived through experience at diploma/degree level if experienced
  • Newly qualified staff will be required to undertake the Trust preceptorship programme within the first year in post
