Social Worker for Children with Disabilities

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join their team in Middlesbrough Council's CWD Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children in need under Section 17 and those subject to Child Protection Plans
- Conduct Initial Assessments under Section 17
- Undertake Core Assessments under Section 17 and Section 47
- Lead Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47
- Develop Parenting Assessments and Risk Assessments
- Carry out home visits to promote the welfare of and safeguard children
- Liaise with partnership agencies to support families and meet children's needs
- Chair Core Group Meetings and produce Initial Child Protection Conference reports
- Implement Child Protection Plans and apply for Emergency Protection Orders
- Review financial payments and organize packages of support and care
- Arrange short breaks and provide Section 17 support to families and children in need
- Attend court and give evidence when required
- Initiate and complete Care Proceedings
Requirements:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Full UK driving license
- Social Work Qualification (degree or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a social worker in children's services
