About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Science Educator to join our Science Department at Queen Elizabeth's School, a coeducational Church of England Comprehensive Upper School within the Initio Learning Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science across all Key Stages, with the opportunity to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of our students.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Science education and has a strong commitment to inspiring and motivating students. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of key substantive and disciplinary concepts in Science and be familiar with best practices in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across all Key Stages, including Key Stage 3, 4, and 5
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of our students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Science curriculum
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of Science department

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of key substantive and disciplinary concepts in Science
  • Familiarity with best practices in teaching and learning, including Rosenshine's principles of instruction
  • Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
