Commercial Geoscientist

ECO Magazine is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Scientist to join our Ocean Environment Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and developing Situational Awareness products to support our customers' planning needs.

• Liaise with external organisations to acquire and analyse marine environmental data, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality datasets to customers.
• Develop and maintain a network of contacts within the scientific community to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in marine environmental data and analytical techniques.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the team's capability and provide expert advice on the use of environmental data and development of Situational Awareness products.
• Participate in outreach activities to raise the profile of the team as a leading supplier of maritime scientific data and expertise.
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of customers' needs for and use of environmental information, actively seeking feedback to inform development planning.

• Postgraduate qualification in geology/acoustics, including experience of working within these fields.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, dynamic team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply scientific concepts and advances to meet real-world customer needs.
