Network Solutions Architect

As a Network Solutions Architect at BT Group, you will be part of a collaborative team delivering comprehensive Wifi network solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:
Designing, developing, and maintaining new and existing network solutions to meet business requirements.
Migrating network designs to cloud-based technologies to improve scalability and efficiency.
Supporting and testing customer Wifi networks in challenging environments to ensure seamless performance.
Collaborating with business and platform teams to understand requirements and design network solutions that meet their needs.
Working closely with the platform architect and design authority to ensure designs align with the company's strategy and architecture.
Ensuring service availability through DevOps practices, monitoring, and troubleshooting operational issues.
Planning and executing changes to the Public Wifi platform, including occasional overnight work alongside testing teams.
Key skills and qualifications include:
Mandatory:
- Experience with core network designs using Cisco IOS-XR and IOS-XE software.
- Proficiency in IP technologies to a CCNA level standard.
- Knowledge of security technologies, including Firewalls and IPSec.
Advantageous:
- Familiarity with F5 BigIP products and load balancing technology.
- Experience with Wifi access points, particularly Meraki or Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers.
- Understanding of supporting technologies such as DHCP, DNS, and Web Servers.
- Experience with the physical installation of network equipment in data centers.
