We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineering Leader to join our team and drive the development of next-generation seating solutions for commercial airlines worldwide.
Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits package.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading engineering projects related to aircraft seating, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. This includes designing, developing, and certifying new cabin interior and seating programs for VTOL and eVTOL aircraft types.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee engineering projects to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality results.
- Develop and certify new cabin interior and seating programs for VTOL and eVTOL aircraft types.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and implement best practices in design and certification processes.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during certification processes under regulatory oversight.
- Mentor and support junior engineers to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present technical documentation for regulatory submissions and internal reviews.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in aviation seating design and certification.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in aircraft seating design, development, and certification.
- Proven experience with regulatory compliance under CS-27 and TSO-C127 standards is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and certification of programs overseen by CAAC and relevant EASA regulations is desirable.
- Strong understanding of technical aspects of cabin interiors and seating systems for small rotorcraft and VTOL/eVTOL applications.
- Experience in designing and certifying pilot seats is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with capacity to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
