National Grid plc seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Jointer Advanced Apprenticeship Opportunity to join our team. As part of our Power Networks Craftsperson trainee programme, you will undergo extensive training and development to work on LV cables.

The apprenticeship typically lasts three years and includes on-the-job training, regular assessments, and evaluations to ensure you meet the required standards. You will begin with a competitive starting salary of £17,649 per annum and have opportunities to advance and increase your earnings.

As a Jointer, your duties will include constructing distribution substations, excavating and laying cables, terminating cables, recording asset information, locating and identifying cables, conducting electrical tests, performing switching operations, and overseeing projects. To excel in this role, you must possess strong communication and teamwork skills, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
