The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employability Practitioner to join our team. As an Employability Specialist, you will play a vital role in co-ordinating an open-access Employment Plus service, assisting individuals in addressing barriers to finding and sustaining employment and/or becoming digitally included.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, secure, and help sustain appropriate work opportunities for unemployed persons within the local community.
- Develop and maintain close working partnerships with Homelessness Services, Community Services, and Corps to support those experiencing unemployment.
- Deliver personalised employability skills to people experiencing unemployment/underemployment.
- Utilise strong communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Understand and apply knowledge of money management principles.
- Hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car.
Requirements:
- Experience in delivering employability skills to individuals experiencing unemployment/underemployment.
- Proven ability to be self-directing and work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
