Job Overview:

BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer - Computing and IT (Network) to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing solutions to meet project or business milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design solutions that meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Manage requirements and acceptance criteria for systems and products.
  • Attend factory acceptance tests and assist in developing test procedures.
  • Produce documentation to support design review processes.
  • Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive and captured in requirements management tools.
  • Undertake design reviews and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Potential opportunity to provide team mentorship at Principal level.

Requirements:

  • Hold a STEM degree such as BEng (Hons)/MEng or relevant experience in IT Computing.
  • Proven technical report writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of working within network infrastructure systems design.
