We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Production Manager. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager to develop and implement daily and weekly plans to achieve site KPIs.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to improve operational efficiencies and deliver cost reductions.
- Provide leadership to the on-shift management team, operatives, and engineers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and standards.
- Deputise for the Site Manager when required.
- Monitor and control plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency and safety.
- Ensure all operators, contractors, and visitors adhere to company safety systems.
- Carry out Performance Appraisal Reviews of direct employees.
- Knowledge and experience of the H&S at work act.
- Supervisory experience/qualification.
- Previous experience in a process environment.
- Experience of continuous process operations.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Six sigma techniques.
- Good fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of control and maintenance systems.
- Able to deal effectively with conflicting pressures of work.
