About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Worker to join our Eating Disorders Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Team Leader and duty managers to ensure the highest standards of practice and service delivery.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Community Eating Disorder Service to deliver services required under the National Service Framework for Mental Health.
  • Provide day-to-day management of the duty inbox and cover.
  • Review all communications to the team email duty desk/phone calls and support admin on a daily basis.
  • Prioritise and support on-duty tasks, responding to emails, telephone, and face-to-face presentations to the duty service.
  • Ensure that risks relating to service users, unmet needs are discussed with duty managers.
  • Ensure quality care standards and procedures that support the aims of Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and the ethos of the Recovery Approach.
  • Attend Referral Review Meetings to present and discuss new referrals and follow up with recommendations made by RRM.
  • Maintain the Duty Worker's own professional registration and development.
  • Effectively support all aspects of the Duty team.
  • Act for or on behalf of the Duty Manager as required from time to time in accordance with local agreements.
