Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Technician to join our Construction department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our Construction facilities and providing technical expertise to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on assistance to staff and students in workshop sessions, ensuring the smooth delivery of programs in Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Electrical Installations, and Plumbing & Heating.
Actively contribute to the success of our Construction department by offering technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
Work closely with our team of Technicians within the areas of Construction and Engineering, supporting our Lecturers and Curriculum Team Leaders as well as Apprenticeship Skills Tutors in practical workshop sessions.

Requirements:

A strong understanding of construction principles and practices is essential. Experience in either Bricklaying or Carpentry & Joinery would be a significant advantage.
You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to undertake), training in Health and Safety Principles and First Aid at Work but these are not essential.
You should also have a Level 2 (or above) vocationally relevant qualification in a core discipline.
