Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a forward-thinking primary school in Hackney. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have a range of additional needs, offering both one-on-one and group support. Your key responsibilities will include adapting lessons to meet the specific needs of students, helping them develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills, and collaborating with other staff and families to monitor student progress and provide comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offering one-on-one and group support to students with SEN to enhance their academic progress.
  • Assisting teachers in adapting lessons to meet the specific needs of students, ensuring all learners are engaged.
  • Helping students develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills in a positive and supportive environment.
  • Collaborating with other staff and families to monitor student progress and provide comprehensive support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a graduate with a strong passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs. Excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a patient, empathetic approach, are essential. Prior experience in working with children is beneficial but not essential. We are looking for someone with a proactive attitude, a genuine interest in working as part of a team, and a willingness to learn and grow with our organisation.
