About the Role
  • Manage all site activities and assist Commissioning Engineers with their duties.
  • Conduct all testing, commissioning, maintenance, and installation activities on site, regardless of location or project duration.
  • Complete test and commissioning documentation.
  • Organize and control method statements, risk assessments, and associated health and safety documentation.
  • Ensure site equipment and tools are fit for purpose and calibrated for specific job requirements.
  • Manage general site work health and safety.
  • Ensure a clean, tidy, and safe working environment for access and egress.
  • Control site time scales to meet contract deadlines.
  • Report to management on a daily basis for all site activities.
  • Manage general site labor.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental policies of the firm and its customers.
  • Provide customer liaison.
Requirements

You should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Commissioning Technician or related role. Power Engineering/HV/MV/LV Switchgear experience is essential, and you should be developing a career in Commissioning Engineering. You should possess an HNC/ONC Engineering Certificate or similar qualification or valid experience, including a good understanding of electrical distribution systems (415V and above) and proven knowledge of Switchgear and Control. You should be enthusiastic and motivated, with good organization and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team or alone. You should be experienced with Microsoft Office applications and hold a full valid UK driving license, prepared to travel throughout the UK and occasionally abroad.

Please note that we are interested in candidates with differing levels of Commissioning Engineering experience.
