Job Summary:
MyDentist is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Dental Nurse to lead our dental nurse team in a fast-paced and dynamic practice environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Practice Manager with planning rotas, people management, materials stock management, and the development of Students and Trainee Dental Nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the dental nurse team in the practice, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient practice operations.
- Support clinicians to deliver a full range of high-quality dental treatments, including routine and specialist procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager to plan and manage rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing downtime.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for dental nurses, including core CPD and specialist training.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.
Requirements:
- Registered Dental Nurse with a strong background in dental nursing and leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians, patients, and other practice staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Knowledge of dental nursing practices and procedures, including infection control and patient safety.
