Job Title: Chef/Chef Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef/Chef Manager to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contractual Compliance: Ensure that all contractual terms are understood and delivered to the highest standard.
  • Client Communication: Communicate any on-site client changes to the line manager and maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Action Planning: Develop and implement action plans following client satisfaction surveys to drive continuous improvement.
  • Cost Management: Analyze and effectively manage all in-unit costs, including labor, inventory, and utilities, to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food prepared, cooked, and presented meets the required standards and portion specifications, and that all HSE procedures are implemented and reviewed regularly.
  • Team Management: Support, train, coach, and develop your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional food service.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Ensure that all HSE incidents are correctly reported and investigated, and that relevant reviews of work procedures are conducted.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous culinary experience is essential, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality food service in a contract catering environment.
  • Management Experience: Previous management experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work positively with others as part of a team are essential.
  • Personal Qualities: A passion for working in a food service environment, a friendly, helpful, and polite demeanor, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
