Job Description

THIS Labs is a pioneering social business that leverages the insights of patients, staff, and the public to support innovation and improvement in health and care. We're seeking a Marketing and Communications Lead to shape our marketing and communications strategy, reporting to the CEO to drive commercial success and growth.

The ideal candidate will have experience in health and care, a creative streak, and a passion for delivering results. They will lead on developing, delivering, and evaluating the marketing and engagement strategy to achieve revenue targets, meet customer needs, and create impact.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and engagement strategy to drive business growth and impact.
  • Work with the Business Development team and CEO to inform key strategic decisions, including pricing, target market segments, and commercial strategy.

Marketing:

Supported by the Marketing Executive, the Marketing and Communications Lead will raise awareness of our brand and value proposition, contributing to building a pipeline of revenue-generating opportunities through activities such as:

  • Creating a social media strategy across relevant platforms.
  • Developing thought-leadership content that speaks to our market across various media.
  • Organizing webinars and online events.
  • In-person events, both those run by us and others.
  • Leading the development and management of the marketing section of the corporate website, including content and design.

Brand Management:

  • Act as a guardian of the company's brand and digital assets, working with the CEO and colleagues to develop and protect the brand.
  • Develop brand guidelines and ensure adherence to them by communicating effectively with staff and external parties.
  • Ensure compliance with brand guidelines in all external communication, including email signatures, document, and presentation templates.

Evaluation:

  • Use data-driven approaches to evaluate the success of THIS Labs' marketing and the cost-effectiveness of individual initiatives.
  • Optimize the productivity and efficiency of marketing activity using data insights.
  • Assess and provide key information on analytics generated from social media, website, and other digital channels to inform the development of the platform roadmap.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the marketing budget, including setting the budget, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring costs do not exceed budget.

Building Customer Relationships:

Work closely with the Business Development team to use targeted marketing techniques to build THIS Labs' relationships with key stakeholders, understanding customer needs across various fields, including academia, NHS providers, national bodies, and health tech companies.

Quality and Innovation:

  • Identify opportunities for innovation in product and service design through your work.
