About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream primary school in Leicester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have been identified as having moderate learning difficulties and autism, providing individualized interventions and regular classroom support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the evaluation, recording, and reporting of students' development, progress, and accomplishments.
  • Attend school meetings as requested by management and fellow teachers to discuss student progress.
  • Implement behavioral intervention programs for students with special needs, developmental delays, or autism.
  • Collaborate with experts as needed to support students.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to complete one.
  • Passion for assisting young people with special needs.
  • Work visa for the UK.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding.
  • Exceptional Needs (SEN) expertise, with a preference for experience with SEMH and severe learning challenges.
  • Vivacious, charming, and assured approach to behavior management.
