About the Role:

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team at CV-Library. As an estimator, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, working closely with project managers and other team members to ensure seamless collaboration.

Location: Our client is based in Lydd, requiring the successful candidate to have access to their own transport due to the location of their sites.

Estimated Salary: £58,500 per annum, reflecting the high level of expertise required for this position. We offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, to attract the best candidates.

Responsibilities:
  1. Creative Cost Planning: Develop and implement creative cost plans, utilising your knowledge of construction projects and cost factors to deliver value-added solutions.
  2. Collaborative Working: Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, draughtsmen, and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimates, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  3. Strategic Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, developing strategic contingency plans to mitigate potential cost overruns and ensure our clients' expectations are met.
  4. Sophisticated Cost Analysis: Conduct sophisticated cost analysis, using advanced techniques and tools to evaluate project costs, materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs, ensuring that we secure the best deals for our clients.
Essential Requirements:
  • Detailed Knowledge: A deep understanding of construction projects and related cost factors, including materials, labour, and plant costs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), enabling you to accurately manage and present data.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines, demonstrating your organisational skills and attention to detail.
