Job Title: Process Safety Expert
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Expert to join our team at Unilever. As a key member of our Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) community, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining industry-leading Process Safety standards across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Process Safety expertise through global programs and work processes.
- Lead a network of Process Safety professionals and Technical Authorities to drive Process Safety excellence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to set Strategy, annual plan, and 3-year roadmap to meet internal company targets on Process Safety.
- Ensure robust implementation and compliance with regulation and legislation, and Unilever expectations in Process Safety.
- Develop, maintain, train, and deploy Process Safety standards and technical specifications.
- Lead Risk Assessment program using various PHA tools (Hazop, LOPA, Bowtie).
- Lead an efficient and effective Process Safety Audit program.
- Support the SHE Positive Assurance Reporting (PAR) process.
- Support Technical Authorities in reviewing designs are As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
- Ensure Unilever Duty of Care position is maintained through the TA framework by the Technical Authorities.
- Support all major capital projects managed by Engineering.
- Champion Project Risk Governance to ensure end-to-end Process safety risk management.
- Develop, lead, and execute the Global Process Safety programs incl audit gap closure and resolving structural issues.
- Serve as Technical and Subject Matter Expert on Process Safety for Unilever globally.
Requirements:
- University degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
- Deep Process Safety technical and management skills (QRA, PSSR, HAZOP, Bowtie).
- Proven track record in operational project management.
- Good observation, incident investigation, and auditing skills.
- Ability to influence strategic deliverables in a widely matrixed organization.
