About the Role

As a Year 6 teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children in their final year of Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork and creating a conducive learning environment. You will teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets and encouraging strengths while improving weaknesses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
  • Helping children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories
  • Keeping track of children's progress and reporting back to parents
