About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Special Needs Education Coordinator to join our team in Parkstone, Poole. As an Academic English Mentor, you will be responsible for providing academic and pastoral support to students with additional educational needs.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students' learning and well-being. You will also provide guidance and support to students in lessons and the Student Support Room, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of how children learn and behave, as well as a passion for working with children with special educational needs. A degree in Special Educational Needs or a related field is highly desirable.

We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, and opportunities for professional development. A supportive team and stimulating school environment make this a great opportunity for an experienced Special Needs Education Coordinator.

Job Description:
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students with additional educational needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to support students' learning and well-being.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure continuity and progress of individual students.
- Act as an Emotionally Available Adult for students when required.

Requirements:
- Strong understanding of how children learn and behave.
- Passion for working with children with special educational needs in a secondary school setting.
- Proactive attendance at relevant training and meetings to stay up to date with developments in special educational needs.
