About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Trainee Detonation Specialist to join our team at Irlam Associates Group. As a Trainee Detonation Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality blast specifications in collaboration with our Explosive Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driving license and experience as a machine Shotfirer, although this is not essential. You will be willing and able to work in all conditions outdoors, which is an essential requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the deliverance of high-quality blast specifications in collaboration with the Explosive Supervisor
  • Ensuring rigorous implementation of the company's robust health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Reporting all near misses and accidents in accordance with company procedures
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers on designated quarry sites
  • Collaborating as part of the onsite services team to prepare blasts in line with client requirements and safety regulations

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
