Job Details

Job Title: Parcel Delivery Driver

Job Type: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract Length: 3 months

Pay: £13.37-£18.81 per hour

Expected Hours: 30 per week

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Parcel Delivery Driver to join our leading postal company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods in a 3.5t van safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
  • Unload and deliver goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Delivery / Van Driver
  • At least 1 year's Multi-drop driver experience
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with unloading goods.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently.
  • A valid driving licence with 3+ years experience with no major endorsements
  • A security check will be made prior to start date (DBS).
Working Conditions

Shift Patterns: Some flexibility will be needed due to the demands of the client but shifts will be around 14:00 and 19:00, with availability between Monday and Sunday.

Experience: Van driver: 1 year (required), Delivery driver experience: 1 year (required), Commercial driving: 1 year (required).
