About Us

We are Walsall Council, a local authority committed to providing high-quality services to our community. Our Education Department is seeking an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to join our team in leading and developing practice in Communication, Interaction, and ASC.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing practice in Communication, Interaction, and ASC, collaborating with partner agencies to support pathways to identify and meet the needs of children with communication and interaction needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply psychology in innovative and creative ways to support young people with social communication and interaction needs.
  • Develop and provide ongoing training for frontline practitioners working with this client group.
  • Lead on project management and supervision, contributing to service development initiatives and central training.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Educational Psychology.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
