About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Expert to join our team at Kintec Global Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on various projects, designing and implementing new process control systems and safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop project work scopes and schedules for the Engineering Department to improve plant efficiency.
  2. Design and implement new process control systems and safety systems as part of capital projects.
  3. Monitor budgets related to C&I activities to ensure they are performing effectively and cost-effectively.
  4. Take financial responsibility for small single-function C&I Projects.
  5. Lead site functional safety development, maintenance, and support.
  6. Review Safety Instrumented Systems, documentation, and improve process control systems and safety systems to ensure compliance with international standards.
  7. Produce key deliverables such as SIL verification documents, Safety Requirement Specifications, and perform SIL calculations using SIL calculation software.
  8. Specify, test, and commission SIS and Control Systems upgrades.
  9. Ensure instrumentation hazardous area design and installation complies with industry regulations.
  10. Provide technical support to operations, including diagnosis, root cause analysis, and implementation of remedial work required to ensure control system availability and integrity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Possess an HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering field or demonstrate working towards.
  2. Working towards attaining professional engineering institution membership and professional registration.
  3. Understand control & instrumentation design standards and engineering involved in oil production and gas storage operations.

The estimated salary for this role is £52,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
