We are seeking a reliable and proactive General Operative to join our team at Aggregate Industries\u2019 Westleigh Quarry. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our quarry and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate fixed plant equipment, including crushers, with full training provided
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including greasing and working at height
  • Maintain site cleanliness and upkeep
  • Operate a loading shovel, with training provided
  • Monitor the site through CCTV from a control station
  • Use computer systems to control plant operations
  • Follow the program of works via computer
  • Communicate effectively through tannoy and two-way radio
  • Uphold the highest standards of Health and Safety at all times
Essential Requirements
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • Basic IT literacy
  • Familiarity with UK Health and Safety legislation
