We are looking for an experienced Product Category Development Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, office-based role that requires a strong background in FMCG (Food and Drinks) with at least 4+ years of experience in a buying role.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to drive key business areas, including coordinating promotional activities, negotiating pricing and promotional funding, managing pricing and margin requirements, overseeing product range management, analyzing sales, supplier performance, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfilment
    • Ensure optimal order placement across all depots using strategic commercial insights to maximize availability and competitive pricing.
    • Place orders, manage stock levels, and influence suppliers to mitigate stock shortages.
  • Category Management
    • Review promotional brochures for accuracy in imagery, pricing, and profit on return (POR).
    • Track and claim retrospective funds from suppliers for sponsored promotions.
    • Coordinate with depots and other internal teams on category-related matters.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Complete essential administrative tasks with precision and timeliness.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the FMCG industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. We offer a competitive salary package, which includes an estimated $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
