Job Title: Senior Cloud Identity Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Cloud Identity Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and scaling systems that enable secure and seamless user authentication across various platforms and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Develop Identity Solutions: Design, develop, and implement core functionalities of Google's Identity platform, ensuring seamless integration with various external identity providers and relying parties.
  2. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, security) to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  3. Implement Security Measures: Implement strong security measures to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  4. Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  5. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Advancements: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in identity management protocols and best practices, ensuring Photon's solutions remain cutting-edge and secure.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development, preferably in cloud-based identity management.
  3. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of GCP services, architecture, and best practices, as well as experience with identity management protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth) and their implementations.
  4. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Google Cloud Certifications: Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer.
  2. Agile/Scrum Experience: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  3. CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  4. Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
