About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Assistant Manager to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of assignments for a varied client portfolio, including resourcing the assignments, setting timescales, and determining budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of advisory and compliance services to clients
  • Oversee the timely delivery of tax services, including research and analysis
  • Present findings clearly at client meetings to offer practical solutions
  • Manage junior staff by reviewing work, monitoring progress, and providing guidance
  • Identify opportunities to promote the business within the public practice marketplace
  • Make strategic decisions to drive business growth and improve team performance
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and work collaboratively with other departments

Requirements
  • CA/ATT/CTA qualified or part-qualified with experience
  • A proven track record of working in a supervisory role within practice
  • Natural leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire junior staff
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and MS Outlook
