Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled iOS Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop iOS mobile applications using Swift and SwiftUI
  • Work with the team to investigate design approaches, prototype technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
  • Lead the architecture and design of features from conception to launch
  • Collaborate with the design and product teams to ensure seamless implementation and alignment with user needs
  • Review pull requests to ensure high code standards and contribute to unit testing of mobile applications

About the Team

Our team focuses on developing a UI framework that creates consistent, user-friendly, and accessible applications. We emphasize ownership, customer-centricity, and data-driven decision-making to deliver innovative experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
  • Professional software development experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • iOS mobile application development experience in Swift and SwiftUI
  • Experience contributing to unit testing of mobile applications and writing custom UI components

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience developing applications using SwiftUI and Combine
  • Experience with accessibility in mobile applications and optimizing app UI performance
