Job Title: Clinical Oncology Training Programme Director

We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Clinical Oncology Training Programme Director at NHS England. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of educational programmes for clinical oncology trainees in Yorkshire and the Humber.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programmes that meet the needs of clinical oncology trainees, ensuring high standards of education and training.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Postgraduate Dean, Head of School, and clinical faculty, to ensure effective educational outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with national guidelines and regulations, including the General Medical Council's standards for training posts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local medical and dental schools, providers, and commissioners to ensure effective workforce development and commissioning.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient delivery of educational programmes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in educational leadership and programme management.
  • Strong understanding of clinical oncology education and training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
