About the Opportunity

Nurse Seekers is proud to be seeking a skilled and compassionate Scrub or Theatre Nurse to join their client's specialist eye surgery team in Edinburgh. Your Key Responsibilities

As part of the surgical team, you will deliver high-quality patient care in the theatre setting, assist in surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, sterile environment. You will also prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment, monitor patients throughout their procedures, and collaborate effectively with the surgical team for efficient patient care.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner or in a similar role (preferred).
  • Experience in ophthalmology (a strong advantage).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care principles.
  • Proven ability to analyse situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Expertise in maintaining a sterile environment and infection prevention practices.
  • Basic Life Support certification (essential).
