Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Asset and Compliance Manager to oversee the management and compliance of our housing assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all properties meet regulatory standards and that our asset management policies are effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough property condition surveys to assess the status of our housing assets, ensuring compliance with current regulations and identifying maintenance needs.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new properties, ensuring that all assets are compliant with changing regulations and standards from the outset.
  • Maintain and update the asset and liability register, ensuring accurate records of all housing assets and associated liabilities.
  • Implement and monitor lease obligations, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions while providing guidance on property management best practices.
  • Develop and manage planned maintenance schedules to ensure the ongoing upkeep of properties, maximising asset longevity and tenant satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of relevant legislation and industry standards, ensuring that all properties meet compliance requirements, and preparing for any inspections or audits.
  • Provide regular reports on asset performance, compliance status, and maintenance activities to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and strategic development.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory bodies, and tenants, to promote best practices in asset management and compliance.
  • Procure contracts, contractors, and suppliers nationwide.
  • Plan and monitor cyclical works for all assets to ensure lease, SLA, and best practices are maintained.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in asset management, compliance, or a related field, preferably within the social housing sector.
  • Strong understanding of property regulations and compliance requirements, including health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent surveying skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to assess property conditions accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement maintenance schedules and compliance strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using asset management software.
