Job Summary:
We are partnering with an established and expanding Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) practice, who require an experienced Mechanical Engineer from a building services background to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a pivotal role in mechanical design work, project coordination, and support of junior mechanical staff.
- Assist the Partners in promoting the practice and contributing to business development.
- Be involved in all stages of project delivery, from initial meetings and site surveys to scheme designs, competitive tenders, and final testing and commissioning.
- Manage financial aspects of project fees, budget management, and interim payments.
- Supervise and mentor less experienced colleagues, encouraging personal and professional growth.
- Contribute to the development of the practice and its clients.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the building services sector.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to building services.
- Experience of managing financial aspects of project fees, budget management, and interim payments.
- Supervision and mentoring skills.
- A full driving licence.
