Master Fabricator

At BAE Systems, we are seeking an experienced Master Fabricator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work on various projects and contribute to the delivery of vital security products and services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with experience in working with different materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. They will also possess excellent knowledge of various welding processes, including Manual Metal Arc, Metal Active Gas, Metal Inert Gas, Automatic and Semi-Automatic Machine Welding (Submerged – Arc & KAT), and Resistance Welding (Stud Welding).

We are looking for someone who can work efficiently and effectively, adhering to all SHE related standards associated with welding, including fume control. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of safety protocols and be able to self-verify their work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Welding butts and fillets to a high standard
• Main process - FCAW / MAG - using ceramic tiles
• Self-verification on all welds
• Adhering to all SHE related standards associated with welding, including fume control
