Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional who can efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and load/unload materials within our warehouse. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Execute basic maths calculations for inventory management and order fulfilment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean and organised warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.
Requirements
  • Proficient in materials handling with experience in warehouse operations.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
  • Experience with load/unload procedures in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competence in using a warehouse management system for tracking inventory movements.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate record keeping and inventory management.
