Advanced Occupational Therapist for Acute Medicine Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Medical team at Stoke Mandeville Hospital as a Band 7 leader. The successful candidate will work closely with the Physios and the innovative Home First team to provide outstanding care to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess acute medical in-patients and provide recommendations for discharge or in-patient rehabilitation.
- Support the team in clinical assessments and develop own interests with the guidance of the Occupational Therapy manager.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to lead and develop an effective model and vision.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary team management of long-term disability and its consequences.
- Identify own professional limitations and seek advice when necessary.
- Take responsibility for clinical projects, audit, or research.
- Analyse and interpret clinical and non-clinical information to inform treatment approaches.
