Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Temporary

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and a passion for helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons.
  • Help to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students with personal care and mobility needs, as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop effective strategies for student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting is preferred).
  • A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the classroom.
