Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Planning Officer to join our Compliance and Enforcement Team at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of an effective compliance and enforcement service covering all unauthorized developments relating to the Planning Acts.
  • Coordinate and manage investigations into reported breaches of planning control.
  • Manage planning applications and appeal work arising from enforcement action.
  • Supervise a small team of Officers and provide day-to-day management.
Requirements
  • Expertise and experience in town planning and planning enforcement.
  • Well-organized with good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to apply experience and motivate others.
