Job Title: Embedded Systems Developer

Shure Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software for our market-leading wireless audio products.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze industry-standard digital wireless communication protocols.
  • Develop drivers for target hardware, including I2C, SPI, UARTs, LCDs, and timers.
  • Design and implement cutting-edge audio products and technologies using SAFe/Agile methodology and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional development teams to achieve project goals.
  • Estimate, organize, and document tasks.
  • Practice established software development methodologies and principles, focusing on reusability, maintainability, and minimized complexity.
  • Review and provide feedback on design and code developed by peer engineers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Electrical Engineering (Master's degree desirable).
  • At least 5 years of experience in real-time embedded software development, using C++/C and real-time operating systems.
  • Experience with wireless protocol stack development and testing for product development in areas such as cellular, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth protocols.
  • Broad understanding of driver datasheets and debugging tools, including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply key software design principles, including separation of concerns, high cohesion, and low coupling.
  • Ability to decompose complex software systems into manageable subsystems with clearly defined interfaces.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
