Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Radiological Safety Assessor to join our client's team on a contract basis in Warrington.

This 12-month contract will provide the opportunity to work with a highly skilled team and contribute to the development of safety assessments for nuclear and high-hazard environments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement safety protocols for radiological hazards.
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of safety measures.
  4. Verify and validate safety-related documentation.
  5. Chair HAZOP/HAZCON meetings and lead discussion on key issues.
  6. Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on safety best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Science and Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior-level safety position, preferably in a nuclear or high-hazard environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful safety initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £60,000 to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our client also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including a bonus structure and opportunities for professional development.
