Adult Education Art Instructor Role

We are Places Leisure, a social enterprise that believes in empowering communities through education and leisure activities. As an Adult Education Art Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality art classes to students of all skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons to adults, focusing on watercolour techniques and art appreciation.
  • Motivate and instruct students to nationally recognized standards, ensuring a comprehensive and enjoyable learning experience.
  • Develop and maintain a scheme of work that caters to diverse student needs and interests.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry practices and seek out new and interesting art techniques to incorporate into your teaching.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in teaching art, specifically watercolour techniques, to adults.
  • Excellent knowledge of art history, theory, and practices.
  • Ability to demonstrate and highlight different art techniques and artists to students.
  • Self-motivated and responsible for maintaining high standards of personal presentation.
