We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Functional Skills Tutor.

This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a positive impact in the lives of young people, helping them to build essential skills for work-related activities.

You will be working with students who require support to develop their English and Maths abilities, from entry level through to level 2.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching
  • A minimum of a level 4 qualification
  • Excellent relationship building skills and a creative approach to teaching
  • Familiarity with OFSTED standards
  • Experience with special educational needs is highly beneficial, although not required

Please note that this role may require travel between sites, so a valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle is essential.

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering sessions in Maths, English and Life Skills, working closely with the team to support colleague programs, assessing the needs of both current and prospective students, teaching in small groups or one-to-one settings, identifying learning and training opportunities for students and keeping accurate records and tracking student progress.
