Senior Data Analyst Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team at Employment Specialists Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly successful and rapidly growing client in the Insurance industry.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Management Information (MI) services to the business. This will involve analysing activity data, investigating trends, and making recommendations to stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for building and reviewing complex data models, compiling findings into comprehensive reports, and promoting processes automation and self-serve solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong experience of Power BI, Excel, and MS SQL, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.

You will also need to be able to interpret requirements, present data in a clear and compelling way, and have accuracy and high attention to detail with a high level focus on quality.

This is a hybrid working role, allowing you to spend time both at home and in the office on a weekly basis. Regular office attendance is mandatory for this role, so you must be within a commutable distance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support business needs by analysing activity data and making recommendations
  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
  • Build and review complex data models
  • Compile findings into comprehensive reports
  • Promote processes automation and self-serve solutions
  • Advocate good data management practices and deliver a continuously improvement strategy
  • Perform peer reviews to ensure quality
  • Train end-users and provide leadership to junior Analysts

Requirements:

  • Strong experience of Power BI, Excel, and MS SQL
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, cleansing, and standardisation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
  • Ability to interpret requirements and present data in a clear and compelling way
  • Accuracy and high attention to detail with a high level focus on quality
  • Confidence to interact with people at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure, within tight deadlines
