LGPS Central Limited is an FCA-regulated asset manager, responsible for managing the pooled assets of eight Midlands-based Local Government Pension Scheme funds. Our organisation is owned equally by all eight Partner Funds, and we are dedicated to the management of local government pension assets.

Our Investment Team

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Private Markets Investments team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our investment strategies, focusing on Infrastructure & Property investments.

You will work with your peers in the Private Markets team to continue the growth of the Infrastructure & Property function. Your specific responsibilities will include working on investing the LGPS Central Infrastructure & Property funds through primary, co-investments, and direct investments.

The Role
  • Investing LGPS Central Infrastructure & Property funds through primary, co-investments, and direct investments
  • Managing existing investment portfolios and those under advisory agreements, which are expected to grow over the next few years
  • Contributing to a rigorous culture of high-performing, collaborative, analytical research-based, and responsible investing across the Investment team
Your Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require significant experience of collaborative investment decision-making at a senior level, ideally in an FCA-regulated environment. You should also have significant experience in Infrastructure and Property investments products.

In addition, you will need to possess:

  • Able to evaluate performance and risk of investment portfolios objectively
  • Experience of contributing to policies on the selection of investments, portfolio construction, and portfolio monitoring and reporting
  • CFA or equivalent qualification/relevant investment experience

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as an enhanced and generous Pension Scheme, 30 days' paid holiday plus bank holidays, and excellent Learning & Development Opportunities.
