About the Role

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our bank team. As a bank worker, you will have the flexibility to choose your shifts and work across our range of mental health and learning disability services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support to patients with mental health conditions in an inpatient setting
  • Work independently with a minimum level of support
  • Participate in the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) course
  • Meet the minimum requirement of three shifts per month
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements

  • NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or recent experience in an inpatient mental health setting
  • Significant experience in a care setting caring for patients with mental health conditions
  • Enhanced DBS check
