Job Overview

This role involves working with children, young people, and families, prioritizing their safety and well-being. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with families using the Signs of Safety methodology, ensuring that all key family members are involved, while adhering to Children Services policies and regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Team Manager in recruiting, inducting, supervising, and appraising team members, ensuring effective performance management in line with council policies and procedures.
  • Undertake reflective supervision, research, and guidance to recognize professional limitations and seek advice from senior practice leaders and other clinical practitioners.
  • Maintain and update case notes and records for assigned children, reflecting their needs and risks.
  • Prioritize child-centered plans within a review timeline, managing and reducing identified risks while meeting child needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of working within complex organizations like Local Authorities or Trusts. A commitment to maintaining professional development and contributing to a positive reputation for Northamptonshire and the wider Social Work profession is essential.
