About the Role:

  • As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work closely with our development team to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge software solutions.
  • You'll provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring the highest quality of code and delivery.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies is essential, as well as a strong understanding of code review and version control systems like GitHub and GitLab.
  • You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore new technologies and implement innovative solutions.
  • Operating within an economic framework, you'll analyze the impact of design decisions and define enablers to evolve solution intent.
  • Participate in backlog refinement and prioritization, including non-functional requirements such as security.

What We're Looking For:

  • Familiarity with REST APIs and WebSocket communication is a must.
  • Experience with communication protocols like MQTT and gRPC is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in working with embedded devices running Linux & RTOS is essential.
  • Securing embedded devices containing PII (e.g. secure boot) is a critical requirement.
  • Familiarity with biometrics (Face & Finger) and relational database design is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in professional software/firmware development.
